…for the next four years.

As you consider whether to re-elect me, please take a look at the priorities I am proposing for the next four years and decide if they make sense.

Here they are:

1.     Continue to invest in the Village by making sure our residents can safely get where they want to go in the Village on foot, by bicycle - and car. 

• We need pedestrian pathways to connect parts of the village together. 

• If voters approve, we will complete the Streetscape design and build sidewalks in the village center and along Franklin Road from the north to the south border at 12 1/2 Mile. We will also build pathways along 13 Mile Road from Inkster to Telegraph Road. 

2.     Continue to support economic development in our downtown including attracting essential businesses that Villagers want. We must restore community gathering spaces in the village center. 

3.     In the next four years, we must have a plan supported by villagers to assure safe and sufficient water in all corners of the Village. 

• We need to understand the current situation including resident satisfaction with their water, water quality, alternative water sources and costs prior to asking residents to approve a new system. 

• Villagers should be able to choose to add municipal water, retain their well or both. 

4.     We will continue to carefully manage our financial resources and continue to provide outstanding service from our office, police and fire departments.
